Job Summary:
Mount Home Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated and passionate Interim Music
Minister to lead our congregation in worship through music. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in church music, a heart for ministry, and the ability to inspire and lead our choir and
congregation in worship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Sunday Morning Worship: Plan and lead the music for Sunday morning services ensuring a worshipful and engaging experience for the congregation.
- Wednesday Night Choir Practice: Conduct weekly choir rehearsals on Wednesday evenings, preparing the choir for Sunday services and special events.
- Song Coordination: Select and coordinate the songs to be sung during Sunday morning services, working closely with the pastor and worship team to ensure a cohesive worship experience.
- Special Services and Events: Assist in planning and leading music for special services and events, such as holiday services, revivals, and community outreach programs.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the church staff, worship team, and volunteers to create a unified and spiritually enriching worship environment.
- A strong personal faith and commitment to the beliefs and practices of the Southern Baptist tradition.
- Experience in leading church music and choir direction.
- Proficiency in playing a musical instrument (piano, organ, guitar, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with a diverse group of people and foster a spirit of unity and cooperation.
